BYU IDOL

Disclaimer: this blog post is coming from an Aggie who lived in Logan for four years. only going to Utah State events. Knowing the people at the event. :)

I never went to any events at BYU other than sporting growing up... So last night was a real treat for me. I like BYU and have always been a fan (until I became an Aggie...)

Well last night was MEMORABLE for this Aggie. BYU IDOL!!! On Wednesday I usually go to Institute but last night I called my friend Jenny in my ward and asked if she was going. She said "No. I am going to BYU Idol. Do you want to come?"

I love events and like to support so I thought I am in!!!

Jenny came to get me and we were headed down to BYU IDOL!

I walked in and thought. Emo HAVE AN OPEN MIND. The first person got up to sing...

CHURCH SONG? Ok this is the lord's University... I guess that is okay.

Second song...

CHURCH SONG? I now felt like I was 14 and it was EFY all over again... I like church song... I just thought it was going to be different.

Third song...

MY GIRL!!! It was getting better. I love that song.

Jenny sitting next to me leads over and says "that guys is HOT!!!" hurry and pulls out her gum wrapper... She quickly writes her number down, goes and hands it to his friend and sits back down...

Wait a min... What just happened?

I was so confused on what just happened... she just went up and gave her number to some stranger? WHAT? I am SO not like that so I was COMPLETELY confused. She just looks at me... We will see where that goes? WOW Jenny way to go girl!

My favorite performer... sang HALO. She was amazing! She totally had my vote!

The JUDGES. now they are something we can talk about... I bet if I knew them it would hav been funnier (is that even a word)... remember who Simon is on American Idol... Well he is known for his rude comments. SO if BYU IDOL is happening you need someone with a RUDE comment. Right?

Wrong? NONE of the Judges said anything mean... EVERYTHING was POSITIVE. I couldn't believe it. I am a positive person, who likes positive people... BUT you need to be honest with the contests as well.

The MC I forgot to talk about him... One of those guys who doesn't know what he is talking about so just tries to make an easy laugh... Just laughing at himself the WHOLE time. I don't think I laughed at him once. Do you know how easy it is to make me laugh? That is how bad he was...

All around it was a great night. Great event that I will probably go again! Thanks BYU for making this Aggie entertained for the night!
