My parents and I flew out at 8:50 Friday morning. We checked into our hotel and went down to the pier. It was a BEAUTIFUL day in Chicago and I was so lucky to be there with my parents.
That night we watched Blind Side in our room. LOVE that movie. KA got in that night and met us for ice cream.
Saturday morning my dad had meeting so KA, My Mom, and I went to the top of the Sears building. Fifth tallest building in the world. VERY cool to see out all over Chicago.
On the top of the building they have this ALL glass look out. It was SO scary. but we did it...
We shortly found ourselves at H&M. We found great deals, of course.
We went to an amazing pizza place for Chicago pizza----- I forgot what the place was called, but it was GOOD!!! :)
We met up with my dad and went to rent bikes. This is one of my VERY FAVORITE things to do in big cities. We rode for an hour.
Saturday night we went to dinner with the school board. WE love them. MJ met us that night (she came later because she was at a wedding.) We went to the Cheesecake Factory and I think I found my new favorite dish. I LOVE that place.
Across the street was the American Girl Doll store--- We were little girls again. I remember how much I loved my sweet little Kristen. She was my best friend for years. I love that store. I can't believe they are still VERY popular.
Sunday morning we went to church. After I met up with one of my VERY best friends I met in Florida. I have not seen her since we left. It is amazing to me that even though it has been a year and a half, we just picked up right where we left off. I love my little sissy! We went to lunch.
Sunday afternoon we went to the "Sundae Sunday." The Utah schools get together for Sundae on Sunday afternoon. Great ice cream and great company. I love the people my dad has the chance to work with.
Monday morning we went back to H&M. We went on a hour long boat tour of the city learning about all the buildings. The reason I loved it.... Remember the movie My Best Friends wedding (my favorite movie) it is filmed in Chicago. They ride on the boat, MY FAVORITE SCENE of the WHOLE MOVIE!!! we were on that boat... I would like to think it is the very same one! :)
We flew out later that afternoon. I of course cried leaving my two sisters. I miss them so much.

Ps.. My favorite American girl was Samantha and I loved her
how fun!!! My brother in law and his family are moving to Chicago in a month or so and I REALLY want to go visit them while they live there!
