So I remember one of my friends, Adam, blogged about his Garmin he uses in his car one time. I thought it was a little weird but I would soon realize why he loved it so much. My new best friend, George, is a Garmin as a watch. Seriously people this is a dream come true. There is NOTHING like it when you are running.
I have been training for this marathon on April 18, 2009, which NO ONE in my family will be attending, I mean it is 26.2 miles but whatever right? I guess my parents think it is more important to visit my siblings in DC.... Don't worry I am slowly getting over the fact that this will be my second Marathon and only my sister KA has seen my cross the finish line. So if any of you want to make a trip to good old Salt Lake, in the Gate way, to witness the completion of the marathon, come on April 18 around 11:00, that is around the time I am looking to finish.
I know my cute friends will be there so I am REALLY happy I have them. but I do know for sure my new best friend George, (the Garmin) will be there. Seriously George is who I spend the most time with. We are together every single day. So naturally I had to give him a name. He is a boy because I want to impress him and run faster of course.
George does EVERYTHING!!! He tells me how fast I am going, how far, and the time. Seriously a dream come true for a runner. George also keeps a history of what I have ran and tells me the average pace. He is AMAZING!
Last week George and I got into a fight. He was mad at me because I let him charge for to long. So he wouldn't turn on. I really needed to hang out with George because I had to run 11 miles and with out him it is very hard. George wouldn't turn on so I had to run by myself. I was SO thankful for George after that. I realized I rely on him so I have to take really good care of him. The next day George turned on, we have been running ever since. Maybe even a little bit faster because he knows how grateful i am for him now!!!! George and I will see you on April 18!!!
