About a month ago I got a call from Ashley Irons (Chels little sister) asking if I wanted to come to Twin Falls (where they are from) to run a 5k. I LOVE Chels family and running so I was all about it.
I bagged Megan and Tess to come up with me of course they were in. We left around 5 and got to Twin around 8. Chels dad answered the door with a great warm welcome. Seriously he is the nicest guy in the world. "welcome everyone. I think Lynn is in trying to get Chels on skype."
My reaction... I think I am going to cry.
I got up to the computer to say hello. Megan and Tess started talking to her as well. In the middle of the hello's Lynn said "Chels we can't really hear you. I am going to turn it up." Lyn turned the camera around to "turn up the volume"
I TURNED AROUND AND CHELS WAS WALKING TOWARDS ME... I was completely surprised. I couldn't believe she was really home. Like I said she was not suppose to be home until July 19th. I HAD NO CLUE she was back. I then found out Amy and Spooner (people Megan and I both talked to earlier that day.) knew she was home. It was the GREATEST surprise. Thanks Irons you pulled it off well.
We made homemade pizza for dinner and had malts for dessert. We just talked for hours and hours. I missed my best pal.
Saturday morning we got up to run the race. It was a little cloudy but PERFECT running weather. My goal was to run in 28 mins. I have been SO SLOW lately. Megs and I ran together and Chels and Tess ran together. It was great! I finished in 27:37. I was happy with that time. :)
We went to the real Twin Falls which is BEAUTIFUL! I loved every second of it. We went to the bridge as well which is one of my favorite things in Twin. LOVED IT!
We saw Randi and Tyson. Had ice cream, ate lunch, showered, talked forever, then sadly we had to come home. It was short but VERY sweet! LOVE Twin FALLS IDAHO!
